October 15, 20169 yr The tittle says it all, and the youtube in the link bellow complements it... It's an ineresting diversion from the usual "can a simmer land a jetliner ?..." type of question... One thing I can tell you from my RL experience at the gliding club is that, for sure, a certified Airbus and Boeing flight instructor can't fly a glider, and specially land it the first time successfuly :-) And, btw, the broken ( due to porpoising on landing ) gliders at my two gliding clubs were actually broken by airline captains ( Airbus for the matter, one of them A340 captain ) flying them, who were getting glider certification ...
