I had the "pleasure" some years ago of being subjected to 5g manoeuvres in a Pitts Special over NZQN. I was bruised around the shoulders for weeks, from being tossed around the cockpit!

Here's a little clip, just taken with a shoephone, of the airport:

 

And the cousins from our western province over the Tasman at ORBX, have it quite wrong: the McKenzie Basin and surrounds is really quite brown, most of the time.

I had set the season to Oct., so your spring time. Never been to Queenstown myself, only to Christchurch and a few places on your North Island. Maybe we should complain to ORBX people  :wink:
