October 26, 20169 yr Hi, Fs2Crew Button selection. History: Previous loaded 737NGX in cold and dark start and enabled FO to run Preflight powerup and start procedures(25mins) Outcome - very happy with a few successful flights, but would like to decrease start times Situation Now: 737NGX loaded in short panel state so that a quicker turnaround is achieved. Question(s). In short panel state, Do I need to uncheck the "FO runs preflight" in cfg and, during this state, after the "preflight check list and checklist to the line" is read and acknowledged, does the FA close and lock the door as in the full cold and dark state AND does the FO close the cargo doors. I got caught waiting for a long time with nothing happening and didn't know when to initiate "Before start checklist below the line" as I though the FA was going to close the doors and the FO was going to close the cargo and rear PAX door. Sorry for any confusion Steve
October 26, 20169 yr Commercial Member The Short PMDG panel state simply means the aircraft is powered up when you receive it. It doesn't refer to time really. It's the most realistic panel state to use since you'd rarely receive a cold and dark plane if flying passenger ops. Accordingly, if running the Short Panel state, there is no need to uncheck "FO runs preflight (flow).", but you can if you want if you want to do that flow yourself. You can see the time remaining to pushback on the Main Panel and on the Secondary Panel. If you don't fast forward the time down, it's like 25 plus minutes. B.
