DBS Airport GPS?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Anyone got DBS Airport GPS working in P3D v3.4.9?

I did use it successfully in P3D v2, but since then I have a completely new installation.

Does not work in P3D v3.

Got my purchase refunded as support is nonexistent.

I would avoid this like the plague!

Hi Jay,

Thanks for the reply.  I've got versions for both FSX and P3D, but only for P3D 1 and 2, and no further developement as you say.

I did find a work around though, so for anyone else interested in DBS Airport GPS:

1.  I trawled my archives for old backups and found the entry for DBS in a dll.xml.

<Launch.Addon>
    <Name>DBS Airport GPS</Name>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
    <DLLStartName>module_init</DLLStartName>
    <DLLStopName>module_deinit</DLLStopName>
    <Path>dbs\dbs.aptgps.dll</Path>
  </Launch.Addon>

2.  Using EMT, I installed the FSX  version.

3.  Manually added the entry to dll.xml.

4. Fired up P3D v3.49, got the .req file, emailed it to developer, got activation.txt file next day, and activated.

Phew!!  It actually works!   :Party:

Cheers, Jim
