Blurry water, how to solve?

Featured Replies

I don't know why, maybe after installing some new scenery, my water is now all blurry.

Things I've already tried without sucess:

1) Restore Prepar3D.cfg
2) All my texture setting and water settings are the same as when it was working
3) Rebuild shaders
4) Replace with REX Water textures
5) Restore REX default textures

Any more guesses?

This is the same place, same altitude. My water used to look like this. Pay attention to the reflection detail, the waves sharpness. This is how it should look.

Can you spot the difference?

Again, it's not related with the texture itself and even the water slides inside P3D.

Are you saying what I see (water/cloud shadows/shoreline waves/ shoreline wave texture / reflections etc. ) in my P3D (default /no payware)  is wrong ?

I figured your original photos were at SBRJ area?

No, I'm saying that my water sharpness and reflections are totaly junk compared to what it was (look the last image I sent).

Pay special attention to the bridge reflections in both images.

After a clean install, the issue is gone and my water looks awesome again.

This is the quality I was expecting (watch in full resolution):

Note that the water is much better in Normal than Ultra in settings.
