November 21, 20169 yr I'm curious how these work together, does an increase in the Buffer Pool size also increase the VAS used? I did a quick test to check by changing my Bufferpool to 0 and my VAS usage at the gate was around 2.1gb. I then changed my Bufferpool to 500mb (500000000) and it seemed to increase my VAS usage to ~2.7gb. Is there a direct correlation between these values or did something in my quick and dirty test scenario unknowlingly change?
November 21, 20169 yr The Bufferpool tweak is a tweak for autogen. The higher the setting of autogen, the more VAS used. I would suspect the higher the Bufferpool tweak, the more likely more Autogen would be displayed (depending on the Autogen setting) at the exact same location as you have increased the buffer size.
