  1. And a Little video with the Dreamfoil AS350 from KDCA-
  2. Are you having an issues inside the sim with this order? From my experience with scenery order, if it isn't broke or displaying incorrectly, don't change it.
  3. What I mean is the camera does not seem to be independent of the aircraft, the motion of the aircraft affects the movement of the camera. If the aircraft rolls to the right, the camera maintains its aspect on the aircraft and rolls with the aircraft in at a 1:1 ratio, like a GoPro on a stick. An actual spot plane would be independent of the aircraft and the movement would be reactionary with a slight delay in the X/Y/Z movement.
  4. I'm curious how these work together, does an increase in the Buffer Pool size also increase the VAS used? I did a quick test to check by changing my Bufferpool to 0 and my VAS usage at the gate was around 2.1gb. I then changed my Bufferpool to 500mb (500000000) and it seemed to increase my VAS usage to ~2.7gb. Is there a direct correlation between these values or did something in my quick and dirty test scenario unknowlingly change?
  5. This thread is a bit old, but I though I would chime in anyway for others who may have the same issue. In the Orbx folder, there should be a sub-folder named "Scripts" In there are a few executables which need to be ran. I think one is called OrbxOC(?). I had this issue as well, funky blotches of messed up terrain. Once I ran the exe, which doesn't seem to do anything (no boxes or dialog) the issue was cleared right up.
  6. It looks like Chase Plane is still stuck to the players aircraft...the camera moves up and down and rolls as the plane does?
  7. You can try searching for EZDOK settings which others have published. For instance: http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/files/file/2976-aerosoft-airbus-a318319320a321-ezdok-profile/
  8. Would that Shade Program work for this? Search FSX Shade for info.
  9. Thanks for your response Jim. My previous searches on this issue yielded many replies from you which described having to remove the xml.dll, so I did. No change though. I'll remove the UIAuto as well.
  10. A reinstall, Deluxe was previously installed on this computer. No addons as part of this install however the previous install did have addons. These were removed via the control panel. I just used my old FSX Config and it made it passed the initial loading screen but now I cannot select Free Flight unless I uncheck DX10 Preview. Making progress.....
  11. Going through a reinstall of FSX and I am progressively installing the Service Packs. FSX Stock runs fine, FSX with SP1 runs better but once I install SP2 I get an APPCRASH on startup, unknown module. If I uninstall SP2 it fires up just fine. I have removed my FSX.cfg and allowed it to build a new one - Same Issue I have changed WideView to True and applied the HiMemFix - Same Issue I have even moved the same UIAutomationCore.dll from my previous install which worked fine - Same Issue Any suggestions? 12. Thanks! I am actually still running AS Next with Rex Essentials, cloud set 9. You are spot on with OpenLC NA, that product is amazing! I am en route to KSAN right now and it does have some texture patterns and repetition out in the middle of nowhere, but around town it looks amazing.
  13. Some randoms tubeliner pics from my flight out of KIAD to KDFW.
  14. I am running with a 9800 gtx and it works just fine.
  15. Head movement is provided by the wonderful TrackIR.
  16. Few more videos for those interested. Showing the differences with the DLL off and on.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5KeAv2-ABQ
  17. Glorious! This version does indeed perform better than the older one I had. Looks fantastic and doesn't cost more than a single frame.I have noticed though, my frames will seem to drop for no reason until I Alt-Enter to window mode and back. Once I do that, they shoot back to normal. Other than that, it's staying in the directory as a welcomed change. Thanks for the heads up!
  18. What resolution do you use in fsx? What video card are you running?I'll DL this dll that you have in your post above, mine is about a year old, perhaps the dll has been improved.
  19. This is something I was using in fs9, and the effect is quite good when tuned up in the ini. The dll also does a good job at color correction and really cleans up the muddy view of fs9 and fsx.It does cost frames though, but not near as much as the fsx built in bloom system. My mid range pc drops about 15 frames when this is on, less in fs9.
  20. I've been looking at picking this switch panel up. I am a little discouraged that there is zero customization though, as in, the switches will only do what they are set to do.I was hoping to be able to change a few to control other more commonly clicked cockpit items, or have a bit of freedom to ensure the panel works with all my add on aircraft. Is there any documentation out there to make an aircraft compatible with the panel, if we can't make the panel compatible with the aircraft?
  21. There is a quick start method as well, one that follows the same line as MS Flight Sim's for start up and shut down of the helicopter.....
  22. The only remaining parts of the glove are the wristband, and the single index finger. The palm is cut away so you can still feel the stick, and the remaining fingers and thumb are also removed.I would agree, placing an entire glove on the hand would be a drawback. This is the reason why I eliminated as much of the glove as possible, while still being able to wear it comfortably.Hopefully in the next revision, I will be able to reduce the size of this.
  23. I've made up a snazzy glove with a push button on the tip and an IR LED attached. By using the IR camera in the Wii remote, and freely available software on the web, any clickable cockpit can be used with the finger, instead of moving the mouse.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLkfx6QxLfgThe video shows me using it in Black Shark by DCS, but over the weekend I fired up FS9 and was also able to click away in my cockpit, without using the mouse. For me, this really ups the immersion factor, and when used with TrackIR, gave me the ultimate flying experience.
