Whats the record for must things running in the background that deal with FS9? I realized last night just how many things I've come to depend on just to "fly around". I've been "flight training" in the awesome Super Connie for an up and comming cross county flight and last night while practicing approaches, I saw just how many thing I have running.Started FS9 with Flight Sim Manager, for the voice command abilityActiveSky 4.5 for weatherFSNavigator, well, just cuz I need it.FSEconomy (it is tied to start with FS9, even though I wasn't using it)ActiveCameraFSG meshLandclassFS SkyworldMy Traffic AIUsing CH USB Yoke and Pro PedalsAll this just to sit behind a computer and pretend to fly.....amazing hobby, isn't it? :)Oh, which Nav programs do you all prefer? FSNavigator or Flight Sim Commander? I use FSNav and like it, but I sure like how FS Commander looks. Any opinions?Dondo

I wouldn't include Active Camera, mesh, landclass and the yokes and pedals as "running in the backgroud" since there are not external programs, more additions to the default FS. BTW get ASV and you won't need skyworld.I am to a point the only external program I'll use is ASV since they all use resources, I'll save that for FS.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/mcdcvabanner.jpgCalVirAir International

Hi there,I have FSNav and Flight Sim Commander (which I run via widefs).Despite it's occasional quirks with the way it reads FS2004 data I still tend to use FSNav as my main moving map program.FScommander does a great job as well, however, - and has the advantage that the ai traffic around is visible and identified.Apart from this I tend to run 3 other programs on the second machine via widefs.ASV for the weatherRadar Contact for the atcAISmooth to try and bring some order out of the chaos at busy airports :-)All the best,John
