November 30, 200520 yr Does anyone have any of the PC Aviator Mega Scenery titles? My concern is regarding the seasonal textures. I understand the east coast titles do not contain textures for fall and spring, but do have snow covered winter textures. I have the complete set of FScene textures for the U.S. and have been thinking about getting the Mega titles for the added detail. Is the lack of fall and spring that noticeable to realism? I understand they are not needed out west in California since there's little variation among seasons. Thanks. Regards, Tom
November 30, 200520 yr Well, instead of yellows and reds in fall, you'll get the same green textures that you see during the summer. So in that sense it's noticable, obviously. Also during the fall/winter transition you can sometimes get mixed winter and summer textures which looks really weird and ugly but you can just move the date a little forward or back to fix that. Also note that only Megascenery 2, 4 and 5 have winter textures. With the others, it's summer all year round. -

December 2, 200520 yr Clutch, When you say you use other scenery do you mean you disable the Mega Scenery, and if so how do you do this? Thanks. Tom
December 2, 200520 yr you would just uncheck all MegaScenery entries in your scenery library and restart the sim.. -
December 3, 200520 yr I use the Pacific NW and I like it. I haven't really paid attention to the seasonal changes, though.
