November 30, 20169 yr I noticed that the banding effect of the sky is much reduced without HDR. Any expert here who can explain why? I read about methods of dithering with Bayer Matrix and the like but that's way beyond my comprehension. What I would like to understand is whether the bug is in the HDR shader or in the skycolor png's (or in both). Thanks for an explanation. Hans

December 1, 20169 yr Don't waste time for a bug they will fix, and most important NO HDR = NO PARTY for me in XP. I will never sacrifice HDR for performance, it's what change XP in a light breathtaking experience. Riccardo Viecca
December 1, 20169 yr Author Sure, it looks way less nice without HDR. This banding is just horrible, it was eliminated in XP10 at one point in time and now it has sneaked back in. Hans
