December 4, 200520 yr Hi. Can anyone who owns this software tell me whether there is a Cathay Pacific livery, please? I don't see one listed in the description of the add-on, and the address I have for Ralph Tofflemire has produced no response.Thanks. I don't see any liveries for Ralph's product in the libraries, so I suppose my last question is, does he not allow repaints of his product? If anyone can send me an email address for Ralph that they know to work, I'd be grateful. December 4, 200520 yr don't know his email, but there isn't a Cathay livery with the release, although there is one in the user repaint section of his site. If you check out panelshop.com there is a requirement for liveries, they have to go through them and they will post them to their site.
December 4, 200520 yr Beat me to it, Al. I was trying to find out which engine Cathay used. You are correct, there is a user repaint avialable.Best RFP information is here:http://www.panelshop.comand you can contact Ralph via the site.Hope that helps,Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/DEV.jpg
December 5, 200520 yr Author Thanks, guys. Despite the fact that I spend 25 hours a day in front of my computer and have no life, that is one site I had not found yet!MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a] _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
December 5, 200520 yr Mark,I have RFP and I can confirm that their is no Cathay livery. :-( Graeme Butler
December 5, 200520 yr Author Thanks, Graeme. There is an 'old colours' CX paint in the users section. I've no way of testing it as I don't have the product, but it looks a fair job. At least I can point people in the right direction for it now. A number had asked why I had not painted this particular bird for my Cathay site; they must think I'm rich or something! It seems I don't need to, in any case.Mark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a] _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
December 5, 200520 yr Thanks for that tip Mark. I have not used RFP for some time now, so it might be time to get it out of the hangar (and find the manuals too!) for a flight to Hong Kong. Graeme Butler
December 5, 200520 yr Here's what the RFP Cathay Pacific looks like, Mark et al.Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/DEV.jpg
December 5, 200520 yr Author Thanks, Ed. If you don't mind I'll poach that little shot for my Cathay web pages so that I can showcase the RFP bird there; maybe one day when the sales slow down Ralph will send me a review copy so that I can make my own, LOL. As you can guess, the only livery that interests me (and the others who have been prodding me) is Cathay's.MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a] _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
December 5, 200520 yr Don't mind at all, Mark, and you are more than welcome. I have it in a full screen size if you would rather have it, let me know.Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/DEV.jpg
December 5, 200520 yr Author Thanks. Already on my site, and it's fine as it is. This product is all about the panel, after all, so I have used a grab from Ralph's site and mixed in your shot:www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.htmlMarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a] _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
December 6, 200520 yr VERY nice website, Mark, my compliments.Best Regards,Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/DEV.jpg
December 6, 200520 yr Ed,What do you guys have in the basement hidden from us? Bodo, in his response to not releasing the Kalitta repaint, said "not for this model"Does that mean we might see a RFP upgrade sometime? That would be sweet!!
December 6, 200520 yr The Cathay wasn't in the basement, it was right there in the user repaints section of the panelshop forum. As Yoda would say, " Al, persistent you are." :)Nothing for the rumor mill, I fear....Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/DEV.jpg
December 6, 200520 yr I was talking about what might be in the development basement.I am persistent, there are just a few updates that the RFP bird could use to allow it to keep its place as best addon ever. Plus the penny and giles (I think thats the name) panels as an option, windshield wipers in the VC, tcas display and traffic callouts, sharper VC textures, etc. I would gladly pay the same amount of money again to have the classic upgraded!
