Engine Swap

FSX Deluxe.

I would like to have the sound and power of the Airbus engines

in the Lear 45. Both are default aircraft.

Can I do that?

If so - how?

Thanks!

The sound is the easy part.  Just use the Airbus sound folder in the Lear 45 aircraft folder.  Why not just strap a couple of solid propellant rocket boosters to your Lear 45?  Before you do anything, make a backup of the default Lear 45 folder in case you don't like what you end up with.

As a test, you can try and copy the [GeneralEngineData],  [TurbineEngineData], and [JetEngine] from the A-321 and paste into your Lear 45 aircraft.cfg.  It will may or may not overwrite what is there.  If not, then just add a .1 to each of the original ones in the Lear 45 .cfg so FSX will ignore them!

I am not taking into account any of the .air file info for either aircraft.

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱

Thank You!

Because of my hearing, I have to use earbuds, and the Lear's

engines just made flying it painful.

The power curve change was not what I thought it would be.

Take-off acceleration seemed the same, but once going

I could climb 6000/min at 250 IAS easy :)

Thanks again!
