December 18, 20169 yr I just copied over the GNS430 folder (see path above) from XP10 to XP11, and discovered there was no data contained in it. I checked the XP10 location and found the same. I did a search and it appears as though XP10 must have been reading nav data from another location X-Plane 10/Resources) for all of my add ons. I assume that XP11 doesn't offer this option (at least for now), so it's essential to get access to the datasets in the Custom Data\GNS430\Navdata location. My question- where do I get the nav data from to put into Custom Data\GNS430\Navdata? Is this what I can purchase from a 3rd party provider (Navigraph, AeroSoft)? Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. December 18, 20169 yr XP11 uses a completely different Nav data format. No GnS430 folder. That's what I've come to understand and that's not saying much, http://developer.x-plane.com/?article=navdata-in-x-plane-11
December 18, 20169 yr Author Thanks Adrian, and that explains why this folder didn't exist in XP11. What I am trying to do is to give the XP10 planes I have imported to XP11 a nav data source. I assume I need to purchase the data? Thanks, Bruce OK- so thinking this through I just copied over the files in XP10\Resources\GNS430\NavData to XP11\Custom Data\GNS430\Navdata and it seems to work- although I probably should update the data via Navigraph at some point to make it current. December 19, 20169 yr I know that the CRJ-200 still uses the GNS430\Navdata folder even in XP11, so i'm sure other planes do too. I just added the folder manually and then added it to the Navigraph FMS Data Manager program so it gets updated.
