Whenever I start a flight in FS9, taxi lights are switched on bydefault. This is annoying because I installed 'autosmoke' from AVSIM(engine heat shimmer), which seems to attach itself to the taxilights. If the taxi lights are on at cold start-up, I get smoke/shimmer from engines (left side only - !!???) when they are off.I have tried saving the default flight (flights/other/fltsim.flt - ??)with taxi lights turned off, and the file, when opened in notepad,shows "TaxiLights=False", but still taxi light switches show as on atstart-up; and so I still get shimmer from cold, non-running engines.How do I fix this? Check the settings in Aircraft/Realism for the "Pilot controls aircraft lights" option...
