XP11 - a way to drag the airplane location on a map and start from there?

Recommended Posts

Basically as the title says.. is there a way to do this in XP11, maybe via an addon?  AKA:  Aerofly fs2 style.. in aerofly you can basically drag the airplane icon on their map to any location (and set the altitude).. i cant seem to find a way to do this.. instead i find myself, for instance.. in hunting for bad weather xenviro testing, looking on a radar map, going to google maps, searching for airports, then manually typing them into the sim..

Is there some quicker way to do this, I just dont know about yet?

Thanks in advance

It was much better in XP10, but in XP11, hit "M" to bring up the map, right-click on your plane and then you can drag it around, set the altitude, etc. Make sure you pause the sim before moving otherwise it moves it live and sometimes crashes

Bingo, ok i got it.. i think it was just a click to get the icon to go "yellow" and bring up the pop up for altitude..  now indeed it drags around, but its limited to a small segment on the map, no way to zoom out to go tristate per say.

Also.. clouds and precip with xenviro arent showing up on my map display, but that may be another issue.
