  1. Having little experience in the real world, how does everyone judge how the pitch/roll should feel for a given aircraft with this yoke? For instance c172, i assume shouldnt be loose as a goose but have some tension (with turbulence off for instance)? Then scale up to other aircraft, i assume larger aircraft more tension? But how little/too much Where does everyone get their 2024 msfs profiles for the cls60? I swear i downloaded a bunch off the flitesim site but now cant find it (or discord), i wanted to make sure i didnt goof up the ones i have (have wbsim and others). *I used ai to create a profile and at one point didnt realize for propwash (i think was it?) rpm values it put really high numbers, when i loaded the profile the yoke smacked really hard left/right (a few times before i realized it was a bad profile), not sure if it has protective measures, but i think it seems ok, though i swear it feels tighter for a given profile, turn off ffbtools and it seems fine though, loose and moves ok tho i hear a little bump when moving (might have been there).** All the other ai profiles i've made so far seem ok for say the justflight new aircraft and arrow III etc. I also cant find any good tutorials that outline what each value does in the software Any experiences?

Im having a beast of a time in the last few days with my headset, its about 11 months old, nearly out of warranty (i have submitted a ticket to pimax) Things were mostly great till a day ago, no changes to the system (14900k + 4090oc, win 11 hags mode on, pimaxxr openxr mode ), i’ve also powered things down tried another usb 3.2 port etc 1. Often now, if i exit vr mode in msfs (even a clean community folder) msfs will freeze, cant click anything, unless you file exit pimax or reset the headset, the headset view either goes black or garbled. 2. This has been a few weeks, the headset fails to charge over usb, have to swap batteries 3. Often i cant even get vr mode with or without msfs to work right, headset planet view will just move away and spin, tracking seems botched (only fix is to pull the battery and put back in) About the only thing i can think of is that i have the tobii tracker , but its unplugged, unless on a restart the service is somehow interfering, but i had also disabled that (will recheck this but its a small probably at least for 1 issue, though not sure why a battery pull would cure tracking) Anyone ran into these issues before? Thanks in advance

  6. I can say using the tds drops my fps in 2D about 5, pms I see no drop, I fly mostly in VR tho

I thought at first my issue was just AFCBridge for the honeycomb throttle quadrant, it errors with AFCBridge Failed to Initialize SimConnectToTheLine Running it manually, after loaded, same error. Voltanta says cant connect to the sim, other apps also say this, a few do work though, strangely (maybe not using simconnect?) I have the latest fsuipc.. i've reinstalled (uninstalled/reinstalled msfs), started with the fresh localcache folder etc too. This os may be buggered.. i did a new motherboard, things were ok, then i had to do a system restore before that point, so i reinstalled drivers and did all that again, then later just today reinstalled msfs to get around this simconnect issue. I have a clean community folder and base scenery only to troubleshoot. Out of ideas short of starting with a fresh re-install of windows, but that seems extreme. The simconnect file is using defaults, : <SimConnect.Comm> <Descr>Static IP4 port</Descr> <Protocol>IPv4</Protocol> <Scope>local</Scope> <Port>500</Port> <MaxClients>64</MaxClients> <MaxRecvSize>41088</MaxRecvSize> </SimConnect.Comm> The dynamic one is port 0. I want to say this had 127.0.0.1 before i wiped it though, on one of the lines. Anyone have any thoughts of things to try?

  11. I thought i had seen it mentioned that maybe a 400mm x 400mm x 4mm thick aluminum “plate” would work (after drilling holes), but wondering if anyone has come up with any other solutions. If you went the route of the aluminum, where did you get the plate (link? usa here), most of the plates i see are not smooth or have very sharp edges. Also, software wise, with msfs, is it just running the software (and maybe picking a profile) and thats it as far as use goes with the cls-60 itself? Thanks in advance
  12. Seems at least if you try to launch batch files with ms addons linker, they dont show up (at least if you are already running the tool as admin), at least this has been my experience
  13. Well, dof seems to offer upgradability, so i was going with that idea, though yeah the h3 shipping part of the 2900 is 600 alone. I've heard some say that at first it seems great though, but then you realize its more of a gimmick and doesnt feel realistic after some use, however this seems contrary at least to vr flight sim guy's experiences so far. Others say go for dbox or different style equipment (i'm not up on the alternatives as of yet though). There are upgrades like the sfu and damper kit that you can get for the dof version, unsure how much that adds. Then there's the whole issue of finding a seat and one that works with the buttkicker. EDIT: i think vr flight sim guy might be using a secretlab seat, though from what i'm seeing those are $500, i like the style at least, arm rests (for flight sim use) I'm also 6'6 so im wondering how my size would line up Im thinking the omega rS6: https://www.gtomega.com/products/simulator-rs6-seat $288 and and arm rest set for $54 https://www.gtomega.com/products/4d-armrest?variant=16046043103281
  14. Curious for those that have purchased the DOF H2 or H3, what model chair did you end up purchasing.. is it possible to put the buttkicker gamer pro on this setup as well? Im assuming the main unit of the h3 uses a usb or usb-c, any cable length limitations there or use an extender that is active/powered? For those that do VR, what about the situation where the main display is much further away, in my case the h3 sitting at the back corner of a 12x10 office, so i wont be near the main screen, how much of a pain does this become where you must fully rely on the goggle view of the desktop? (especially when it prompts for credentials)? Also, any real reasons to purchase any of the upgraded options for the h3, sfu, etc? Ill be using the honeycomb alpha/bravo and mfg pedals + aero. (or, should i go with something other than DOF reality, this unit with the one upgrade is around $2900 shipped) Thanks in advance

Has anyone ran into this error before: Caught exception: Ortho4XP_v130.exe: RegistryKeyLookupFailed `CoderModulesPath' @ error/module.c/GetMagickModulePath/665 Seems to be after it attempts to run resample.exe (i have the correct path, but now since i upgraded versions of ortho4xp it seems its not popping up and running)? At least on the error above, i think its because i didnt run the ImageMagick setup first (new clean OS) edit: after resample(s) ran for a while it gave me this error : invalid command name ".!ortho4xp_earth_preview.!frame2.!canvas"
  16. Finally digging into this portion, but, is the replacing of the @o@ like this with the at symbols and no quotes or does it need quotes..? This folder also has subfolders in it: @P:\Program Files (x86)\Ortho4XP_FSX_P3D-master\OSM_data\+40-080@ EDIT: i changed it to this style: IMPORTOGR|P:\Program Files (x86)\Ortho4XP_FSX_P3D-master\OSM_data\+40-090\+40-081\*|*|building;landuse;natural;leisure|NOREPROJ (and afterwards no texture files are in the folder) Same thing with @1@ is it like this : @P:\Program Files (x86)\Ortho4XP_FSX_P3D-master\Orthophotos\+40-080\BI_17\ADDON_SCENERY\texture\@ And this must be modified for each tile? Or has that changed in recent versions?

  20. Exiting to see some 3d overlays are now possible. Curious for everyone using the ortho in p3d though.. have you found any way around excruciating load times for the ortho. I just had about 15 tiles or more from one region and this made my load times go from around 4 minutes to at least 12 minutes for the same test. My main install is on SSD but the ortho on 7200.

Good points.. but as far as the zoom of 16 goes.. i havent experienced this (in my case).. i'm able to generate tiles greater than zl of 16 and i can also use the batch build option and it seems to work, aside from the known issue of the command windows sticking. The tiles are generally 20GB+ which are quite a bit larger than the ones dedicated for XP at say 8GB roughly.. when you load up 20-30 of these tiles or more into P3D, the load time gets dramatically long as a result.

I'm coming to find that often the minimized command windows are still getting "stuck".. have to unminimize and tap space bar on each one a few times to get them going.. anyone else still having this issue? This could also be why mine took 1hr45 for one esp creation one time and 2hr30min the next (no cpu usage when they get stuck like right now, 10 minutes after it started an esp job process)
  23. Now getting this message suddenly.. unsure why (i'm running from the exe.. it was fine earlier, i think).. ESP_build_dir is None inside of resample... something went wrong, so can't run resample Nothing has physically really changed.. the path in the cfg file is valid too.. Has anyone ran into this?

What is the typical time it takes to do the esp part for most people..Mine 1hr43min total time, 15 of which is everything but the esp (so around 1hr30min for the esp for one tile).. this on a 5.1ghz machine with 1080 ti (is there any way to utilize some gpu processing to speed this up?).. the minimized windows work great now though. Other question is on the bgl file / folder size after wards.. i have some tiles around 20-22GB at zl17 via bing (usa area).. for instance.. +41-72 tile is around 22Gb.. while other nearby tiles might only be 8GB after conversion.. i think this is killing my load time into p3d (another issue).. any idea why some of these tiles are so huge and others are "normal" or perhaps depends on terrain.. however, the xp equivalent tiles folder with full textures for this area at same settings is only 5.5GB in size.. confused.
