Load manager?

Featured Replies

Is there a simple tool to manage aircraft loading?I downloaded an ATR72, and I can't fill up fuel tanks because load is very high and distributed in about ten stations. I reckon I could manage aircraft.cfg but I don't know exactly where to distribute load into the plane.Any clue?ThanksFrancesco

Have you looked in the FS menu options - fuel and passenger loading? There really isn't any need to mess around with aircraft.cfg files unless you particularly want to.Allcott

Yes, I tried it, but I would like to have the possibility to set the load for planes with many station parameters.F.

Well, some of the more sophisticated packages have load managers - the Antonov AN24RV used to (freeware), but the FS default load manager regards seats as stations, so if you add the stations to represent the rows of seats they should show up as such in the menu.Having said that, there is a fundamental flaw with FS that exaggerates the effect of off-centre mass, much more than in the real world, so if you do want to create station loads, you will probably want to compensate for the location of the `seat` or cargo by adjusting the position towaard the centreline. And I don't know any aftermarket package that does that, unless it's tied to a single aircraft (usually payware, for this level of complexity).Allcott

Hmmm...seems exactly what I needed. But it's too expensive :-)F.BTW, what is the standard lbs weight for one person? 170lbs?
