January 16, 20179 yr Hi I found this file in <fsxhome>\PMDG\PMDG 737NGX\ and found some errors about sound files missing: (there are no such files in that dir, also checked an old backup of FSX I there are none there) Top of file: 01 02 Can't access WAV file: 0 (Sound\PMDG/737NGX/Various/PMDG_737_StarterTruck.wav)Can't access WAV file: 0 (Sound\PMDG/737NGX/Various/PMDG_737_AirTruck.wav) In the end: Can't access WAV file: 0 (Sound\PMDG/737NGX/Various/PMDG_737_EngineShutdown2.wav)Can't access WAV file: 0 (Sound\PMDG/737NGX/Various/PMDG_737_EngineShutdown2_Ext.wav)Can't access WAV file: 0 (Sound\PMDG/737NGX/Various/PMDG_737_EngineShutdown1.wav)Can't access WAV file: 0 (Sound\PMDG/737NGX/Various/PMDG_737_EngineShutdown1_Ext.wav) No big deal, the NGX works perfect anyway. But I wonder why the files are not around. In the 777 there are shutdown sound files. Per W Sweden Programmer since 30+ years (now retired) and a avid flightsimmer since SubLogic on Vic64. Now I enjoy XP 12.1.3r2 and Scenery fixing. Also did some real pilot training back in 1979-80. Win10 Pro, i5-11600K, Water Cooling, ASUS MB 32GB, nVidia 4060Ti 16 GB, 27" ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQZ 2560x1440 monitor, 2 NVMe drives + 4 SSDs and 1 HDD for downloads/storage. Honeycomb Yoke + throttle and MFG Crosswind rudders. I always build my PCs myself so I know what is inside them.
January 17, 20179 yr For a definitive answer, lodge a support ticket. Sometimes software logs can get filled with junk entries that get generated due to transient conditions for example, say you close P3D or FSX, and for a moment the program locks access to the PMDG sounds files for whatever reason. Boom, PMDG log error. Is it an actual problem, most likely not, if you are not experiencing any issues in the plane during normal ops. Wes Meyer
