I've set my framerate at 30fps in game and I've read that 1/2 Refreshrate vsync helps for smoothness of the game. But I can't find the option in the Radeon Crimson software?

Is it best to uninstall Radeon Crimson first? Or can it run side by side? (If I delete Crimson, then it deletes the driver too)

I do not know anything about ATI stuff.  I use to have an ATI card back before FSX but dumped ATI when FSX was released and the new OS Vista was released about the same time.  AMD Radeon/ATI refused to update their drivers so Microsoft FSX developers were forced to use Nvidia cards only during development. 

 

This is why you will see most members use the Nvidia card and the Nvidia Inspector to optimize their display driver settings. 

 

I provided the link above based on a search of Google for "1/2 refresh vsync with Radeon software".  There are a lot of other "hits" but the link seemed to be the best for your subject.  You might want to check out the AVSIM Hardware video card forum where they discuss things like this.
