February 1, 20179 yr It's possible that I simply don't have XP10 configured in the most optimal way even though I have spent a lot of time tuning and testing to find that "perfect" balance between looks and speed. One of the goals of XP11 was to decrease the number of ways the user could "break" the software through the settings, and this is why the configuration panel has been greatly simplified, because the software is "smarter" about choosing the most optimized under-the-hood settings for each tick up or down the slider. Ben recently wrote a blog about it, which is a great read as always. http://developer.x-plane.com/2017/01/where-have-all-my-settings-gone/

As long as there's still "some way" to tweak under the hood, it's all good. Some of us don't need to be hand held by big daddy Austin. I don't need cars, birds, deer, boats, and the like. Luckily, I have the option to get rid of them, easily.
