December 19, 200520 yr Hevent seen anyone mention that the C-130 J for the Captain Sim model is out. Of course it is a J only on the outside. The Cockpit is the same as the E. It is $9.30 US. I think I will pass as I was hoping for more of an upgrade as far as the cockpit goes. Plus I am very happy with the E. Andrew

Well, OK, maybe not, it is Captain Sim after all.The C-130J is a way different animal...LCD flat-panel flight deck with digital moving map and wide-combiner HUD, FADEC-controlled single-thrust-lever engines with Hotel mode, no FE panel, much different sounds/vibrations etc etc. You don't just put 6-bladed Dowty props on an E model and call it a J.I had rather hoped that CS was going to produce a reasonable facsimile of a J...that'd be worth paying for an upgrade.
