Brakes Message

Quick question, I have observed when landing with the autobrake set I don't see the "brakes" message in the lower left corner of the screen. I do get it on the NGX and 777. In the 747 the brakes message appears as soon as I put enough pressure on my toe brakes (have the PFC rudder pedals with toe brakes) to disarm the autobrake. I also get the differential brakes message as well, just not when the autobrake is in use. It's this to do with the custom ground friction?
