February 22, 20179 yr Hi. I hope I am not going off track in this thread - for many years I have used OpusFsi as my weather engine - and have read recently that I can use this in conjunction with Active sky 2016. I am not knowledgeable in this area - and am trying to identify as to whether there is any benefit in using both (assuming that you can) At the risk of further derailing the topic, make sure you take full advantage of the AS16 trial before making the switch. I have AS16 and ASCA, but I've gone back to OpusFSI, at least for the time being. It may lack some of the features AS offers, but in terms of realistic weather depiction, I simply get better results. AS has been struggling with visibility in the latest versions, so - depending on your type of flying - you may not get a real improvement. Tym
February 22, 20179 yr If you enable the effects into Envtex, you need to disable the same effects from PrecipitFX or vice-versa. Hi Max, Just to be clear, I think all you need to do is install the effects from either PrecipitFX or ENVTEX. You can switch back and forth by doing this as my understanding is that the relevant files are overwritten by either package. Regards, Mike

As i am using as16 with urp with pta and reshade vol fog off but showing very hazy Can anyone advise what what visibility settings should be added with vol off or/ and on? I am using latest fix as16 Would be appreciated. Thans mike
February 23, 20179 yr I run with volumetric fog off in P3D and let AS16 handle it (reason is Envtex larger sun didn't show with vol. fog on) and as Hi-Fi suggests visibility is set to 199 (maybe it is 200) that gets rid of a layer of haze at certain altitudes. Just read the notes in the AS16 option settings. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (8 cores) Hyper on, Evga RTX 3060 12 Gig, 32 GB ram, Windows 11, P3D v6, and MSFS 2020 and a couple of SSD's
