February 21, 20179 yr Ive been having a small issue with my painting and I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I am hoping someone here can help me out. When I paint the GE engines file and save it as a .dds file it then goes to the nvidia plugin and I save it as DXT5 ARGB 8 bpp | interpolated alpha, 2D Texture, No MIP maps. but for some reason I get this shine effect on two of the 4 engines! Does anyone know why? Thanks! Pete Richards I've owned every version of flight simulator since Flight Simulator 3.0 in 1988. Windows 11 Pro loaded on a 4TB Gen5 Crucial T700 SSD, 4TB Samsung 990 Pro SSD, Ryzen 9 7950x3d, AS Rock X670e Taichi Motherboard, Gigabyte Gaming RTX 4090 OC 24GB, 64GB (2x32GB) Viper Venom DDR5-6000MT/s, MSI 32" MAG 321UPX QD-OLED 260hz 4K Gaming Monitor.
February 21, 20179 yr Commercial Member Looks like you accidentally grabbed the alpha layer and dragged it back (and also potentially warped it, based on that bit that's dragged back toward the rear of the engine). You might get a better response in the area of the forum dedicated to painting, btw. Kyle Rodgers
