Dynamic Ground Friction LUA and addons

Featured Replies

Just wondering what the latest thinking is when using the dynamic ground friction LUA for FSUIPC when it comes to high end addons like PMDG747, A320X and A2A Commanche given that these developers do put on a lot of work (and possibly their own programming) into the sim to accurately simulate this effect.  Is there a way to have FSUIPC not use the LUA in these cases, is it overridden by the addon?  Just not sure what to do about it when using with other aircraft.  thanks.

I was looking at that module recently to customize another plane.  I can think of two ways to do it.

  1. The simplest way might be to use SimStarter to enable or disable that module at startup based on the kind of airplane you plan to fly.
  2. The other way would be to modify the script to read offset 3160 or D000 to get the ATC aircraft model at aircraft load time and have it skip applying the friction adjustments (or provide modified values for that aircraft model).  D000 might be the better choice.

If I get the chance I might take a look.
