VFXCentral Not Closing Down

Featured Replies

FSX-SE is opened at the Steam Library page. When started it opens VFXCentral and ChasePlane - all is good, except it would be nice if you did not have to click Yes for each of VFX and CP, as it should be automatic as the CP Preference is turned on in Auto-Launch.

When I close FSX, ChasePlane closes automatically but VFXCentral does not - this causes Steam to keep showing FSX as still running and you cannot launch FSX again. I discovered that VFXCentral was still open, once I force VFXCentral closed then immediately Steam shows FSX as closed and it can be launched again.

VFX Central is only needed for install FSFX packages.  I would set the preference to not load with FSX-SE.

It might not be a perfect solution, but if VFX Central isn't opened when FSX:SE starts, then you won't have to worry about it not closing.

Thanks airernie that is what I have done.

I posted this mainly so Keven and the FSFX team could see the problem for a future fix.
