A6 in 2002

Featured Replies

I have just purchased Activesky 6 without realising it is for fs2004.I am running 2002 therefore cannot load all the drivers and fs9 folder. What can I do to run it on fs2002 ?Ben

Honestly, get FS2004. It will run much smoother than FS2002. Plus now it does not cost as much.

The weather system changed in FS2004 and works differently than FS2002, so unfortunately I don't think there is any way to use the program with the older FS version. From their product info page:"Our engine is designed exclusively for use with FS2004 (and beyond), utilizing station-based distant weather depiction and transition capability instead of limiting depictions to a single GLOBAL area. Because of this, ASv6 is not compatible with previous FS versions."

Sorry Ben,There is no way to fool ASv6 into thinking you have FS04 installed when you do not. As the others have suggested you could purchase FS04, knowing that we will always support our products well into the future.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-proud.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-beta.jpg

>As the others have suggested you>could purchase FS04, knowing that we will always support our>products well into the future.Sure, it will be supported for FS9. Before this person spends his money on it, are you saying that it will be supported for FSX. Will it even work with FSX?

Ben,Just to add.... by support I mean that if you ever have a problem with one of our products we will support it. Every so often we still get calls about wxRE, a 3 year old product and we still support it.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-proud.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-beta.jpg

Re A6 IN 2002Thanks for the advise perhaps I should put it on hold and wait for 2006, To much work to change all the scenery files etc involved when changing over.Ben

That was a more accurate answer. In other words, it may not work with the next version.

Hi,It is simply way too early to make assumptions one way or another. We're still actively improving ASv6 for FS2004. The next FS is quite a ways out still. Let's not get too ahead of ourselves!Best,

You can pick up FS9 for like $25-30 at Target, MicroCenter, EB Games, etc...while places like Best Buy and Circuit City still have it listed for $45...
