MCE goes classic and supports CS 707 with simulated flight engineer
Works great with the CS707. Just a little hitch tough, whenever I ask for a specific heading let's say "Set Heading 2-3-0" The CO pilot acknowledges 2-3-0 but an incorrect heading is entered on the HSI bug. I don't know of the issue is CS or not. However when I ask for a course or a track heading it's spot on.

Windows 8 - Joystick Megathread problem.
OK I got a disconnect but it took a while. I'm not sure if it was caused by REX loading up or not but regardless it happened. Looking into FSUIPC method of connecting.

Windows 8 - Joystick Megathread problem.
Well I'm glad it did solve one thing, I still have no disconnects in either FSX or Prepar3d V2 with my TMWH. I'm still testing though. I'm wondering if the disconnect issue is joystick dependent. I guess so far from what I read here FSUIPC is the guaranteed fix so far.

Windows 8 - Joystick Megathread problem.
I "might" have found a solution to the USB joystick disconnects in FSX. Been testing for 3 hours and no disconnects so far. I changed planes, scenarios, full screen, windowed mode and tried to recreate the disconnect but it would not happen. What inspired me to apply this fix to my joystick is an issue I was having after upgrading to windows 8.1. My cougar MFDs were constantly flashing. So I found this link and fixed the problem with the MFD. I also applied the "Fix" to my TM WH joystick and throttle as a test and so far so good. Let me test it for a week before I can confirm 100% this is a Fix. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2900614/en-us

Finally! DC-8 For FSX!
Thank you very much Brian that's exactly what I needed to know and yes I have installed the V-one Gauge for the CS707. I guess I'll wait for a patch to come out for the DC-8 and based on that decide.

Finally! DC-8 For FSX!
I am on the fence with this plane. Can someone convince me? I do own CS 707 and visually it's appealing but in some other aspects it lacks. How is the DC-8 flight model in comparison all bling aside?

Fatal Error Occured
Hi guys I am having the same problems with My ATI 7970 on Windows 8. My problems started when I upgraded to Catalyst 13.10 Beta. I could no longer run FSX in Directx9 only DirectX10. I went back to Catalyst 13.6Beta2 and it works fine but for a moment when it worked on 13.10 the graphics were awesome. AA was working properly in Directx9 Here is the error that I got Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14 Faulting module name: atiumdag.dll, version: 9.14.10.991, time stamp: 0x522828fd Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x00024f01 Faulting process id: 0xd88 Faulting application start time: 0x01ceb0934fc3ffca Faulting application path: E:\games\FSX\fsx.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\atiumdag.dll Report Id: af0a886d-1c86-11e3-beba-94de806c39de Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID:

7950 - Any good for FSX?
speckfire replied to Zangoose's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcHi All, I have a 7970 and I'm not happy with it. I tried sooo hard to make it work in FSX I still could not get it to work properly ie I mean I still get the jagged lines, Anti aliasing does not work properly but I get great FPS 50-60fps maxed out. I know this card can do more. I tried everything in CCC but it seems not to have any effect in FSX. I think it clearly does not support FSX. It works great with other sims like X-plane or Arma3. I'm considering getting an Nvidia card after paying $450

windows8 pmdg problem
I run FSX with Windows 8 in admin mode. NGX runs fine. I have however as mentioned above have disabled Windows Defender (My Anti virus did) and I don't have any issues. Are you running full screen or windowed mode? Try both and test.
