Three issues I have found.

Recommended Posts

Hello,

After flying the 747 for about 2 month, 3 problems have shown up that I think deserve attention.

1. The engines have this great animation where they vibrate under stress, but everyonce in a while, they vibrate at the most random times. Its perfect flying weather and no turbulance and they just move back and forth, if I remember correctly, they have done this on the ground too. Not too big of an issue, but looks really weird when it happens.

2. Theres an FMC glitch I have had on multiple occasions. When setting up the plane for a flight, I go to enter in my ZFW, reserves, cost index, etc. and the ZFW is automatically entered in but in a smaller sized lettering than normally if you enter it in yourself. I didnt think much of it until I went to get my V Speeds, they would not show up. I found out I needed to re enter the ZFW into the place manually, making the text go back to the normal size, and then I was able to get my V Speeds. And this has happened a number of times to me.

3. One other small issue I had was I started up the engines and number 1 was not responding to my throttle input. The lever was moving, but no response. I shut it down then restarted it, but that didn't help. This has only happened once, and would definitely be a pain if you did all your set up and pushed and started, only to realize engine 1 wasnt responding.

Hope these are helpful reports.

This has already been acknowledged.

This isn't an issue. Please read the Intro Manual (specifically the section on airline options, and even more specifically, the option for different weight sensors). This has been discussed many times on the forum as well.

Paying more attention to your preflight may also help. The GW entry would have had a < next to it, which you missed. This value needed to be confirmed.

FSUIPC issue, or an issue with your hardware.

FSUIPC issue, or an issue with your hardware.

I dont think its that. I actually moved the lever on the 747 itself in the cockpit with my mouse. The throttle lever was full forward but it stayed at idle.

Hi,

Fsuipc issue doesn't necessarily mean that you issue with your hardware. Sometimes the fsuipc.ini profile gets corrupted for some reasons and gives weird behaviours in the sim.
To rule that out, the best is to move the fsuipc.ini (and separate profile for the 747 if you use one) out of the folder sim and load the aircraft with a fresh new profile.

Then if the issue still remains, you can move the files back to the module folder.

And take time to read Kyle's post entirely (especially the last sentence).

This doesn't rule out an interface issue, as Romain noted. I'm here trying to help, please take note of the suggestions offered.
