Light blue water edges

Recommended Posts

Hello ALL,

I don't know what happened that one day I started getting this strange light blue color on the edge of most water bodies, especially the narrow rivers. Does anyone know what causes this? I tried unchecking (and then checking all) Orbx Vector stuff, as I'd imagined at first it was something related to it, to no avail. Installing REX water textures (and waves) and reseting the shaders to the default ones (I use PTA) didn't help either.

Thanks!

Yep...check that you are running at any screen resolution, in 32 bit.  For some reason, you might have a screen resolution selection as 16bit.

Unfortunately it was not the issue, running 32-bit colors (RGB in the Full range in my 4k 55" screen). I noticed thereafter that when I set the water color (shader) to 0% via PTA, the water that is near to any land (shores, river edges, etc) stay light blue still! The lack of color only affected the water away from the land, but that one that "touches" the land (with ramdom variable width?!?) will still keep that light blue color, and that is what causing the blueish aberration specially when looking from some distance. I reinstalled the Orbx products completely, put back the original P3D textures and shaders, nothing seemed to help. That's really strange.
