In the throttle part of the X52 there are 2 rotary controls, I use the top one to control steering and it works perfectly. What other joysticks/HOTAS/controls that have such a thing nowadays?

Hello again, I've been quite a few months away and now back again, updated successfully all AIG packages but when it comes to AIGTC it's not loading anymore (with or without FS2020). As soon as the splash screen closes and the main window open, some advisory appear and the next second everything vanishes, program is not running anymore. Is this a known issue? How do I start fixing this? Thanks!

I did, but apparently it just keeps asking to fix the liveries on and on. If there's a way for the software to just ignore/exclude those, if would be cleaner... As for the amount of traffic, absolutely! Even a thousand worldwide would be more than enough to me.

I tried again and noticed there was really some kind of problem logging into Avsim (just the files repository part, the forum part was always OK). Alright, so I've created another account and was able to login. Considering all packages available within AI-Manager, 85 had issues and had to be manually installed. Long story short, more than a half didn't work, either files were not found online or were downloaded with different naming, thus not recognised by AI-Manager when it should be pick up after download. One other site (don't recall the name) was not available since I didn't have an account and the site had account creation disabled. A few other occasions I got "file not found". Is there a method to disable these "problematic" packages/airlines in order to prevent AI-Manager from showing the "Repair Missing Textures" red button?

Maybe it's the time frame I stopped using the PMDG, and considering it's a long time since then I supposed it was a fixed issue. But the thing is I'm noticing the very same behaviour of those times within the MD-11, which surprised me in a bad way...

Hello ALL, Recently I've returned to FS2020 and I've started to set things up for TFDi MD-11 and I noticed that the behaviour seen on PMDG B-737NG is still there, which is a really bad steering on the ground. Last plane I used to fly on P3D (v4 yet) was the FSLabs A320 and it used to work really well. I use a X52 controller and have assigned the "steering tiller" axis to the rotary head in the throttle part of the controller, just like I used to do on FSX, P3D, etc but it really seems to be of little help. Any higher speed than REALLY slow makes the steering to lose effectiveness and even at such slow speeds the higher turning angles seem to "slip" a lot! Is there any fix for this? What do you recommend? I used to have FSUIPC before (on older FS and P3D versions) but didn't really feel the need of it for FS2020, so I have not tried to see if it improves things in this regard. Thanks in advance.

Still about AIG Traffic, I've recently reinstalled AI-Manager and some 81 flightplans need to be manually installed (manual livery download). The problem is the browser is requesting AVSIM login, even providing the correct credentials it won't work. In my other PC (this one) the login is obviously working fine. I've tried 2 different browsers already but the outcome is the same. When I close the browser, the software asks for the downloaded file, but it doesn't exist. Is this an error on my side? Can it be fixed?

Anyone using a batch file to restrict each software to certain CPU cores, such as E-Cores and freeing P-Cores as much as possible?

Can you show a couple of screenshots comparing what's good in one and what's not?

I haven't flown it on MSFS yet, but on P3D it used to be a bit bugged in that regard. Apparently the FBW on the pitch channel wasn't well modelled, which created issues in trimming as well. In addition to that the airspeed amber band wasn't well simulated either.

As for simulator overall performance (FPS, fluidity and lack of stutters), which one behaves the best?

Do you know if FSLabs in FS2020 has support for those thermal physical printers?

Try to switch between Legacy and Lock under General Options>Accessibility>Cockpit Interaction System.

As a matter of fact Windows reboots may be caused by anything that triggers a BSoD (provided the admin has not changed the setting that tells the PC to boot automatically). Usually more serious (hardware) issues may freeze completely, to the point the BSoD "blue screen" don't even has time to be called/drawn, that's why sometimes the sounds get stuck in a loop as well. Plain CTDs indeed tend to be caused by software (higher level) errors which will not compromise the whole operational system.

I'm yet to buy the new ChasePlane for FS2020 (was my last camera manager in P3D), but how does it transition from cockpit cameras to outside cameras? Just one joystick binding is enough to go from one camera directly to another? It's been several months since I don't fly FS2020, but I recall some trouble returning to a cockpit camera once outside, having to click more than one button. As to zooming, many people apply/remove zoom instead of going closer/farther to an object. Personally, I hate using zoom itself, except for very specific situations, I always set thing up in order to actually move the PoV/camera closer to an object or move farther from it, which will never cause issues such as distortions.

Basically because the simulators don't benefit from all those cores, even the remaining cores left after disabling HT are more than enough to run everything. Moreover it's possible to increase the clock speed and reduce heat by doing this. HT itself suffers from some degree of overhead, since the doubled number of cores is kind of artificial. I have tested myself with and without HT and could experience how smother is the simulation without HT. My PC is only for flight simulation, thus it won't hurt anything else.

I heard the bad thing about variable clock would be the introduction of delay or latency, which would translate into stutters in the simulation, but haven’t done any kind of comparison. 🫢

What about AIG without TC, just via .BGL control? Is this still possible? Less prone to problems?

Thanks for the suggestions. It's interesting and strange at the same time because when I set a specific clock speed (say Sync All Cores for example) and it doesn't achieve that value, it will just reduce to a feasible value (even if I disable C-States and those Turbo settings. If I'm not mistaken in my i7 8700K if the system doesn't achieve the clock speed I've set it wouldn't even boot up. Any comments in this regard? In any event, I think I've managed to find good settings for simulation using FS2020.

Hello All, Recently I finished building this CPU with an ASUS Z790-A motherboard and I'd like to get the best BIOS/UEFI configuration for FS2020. Is it possible to specify a fixed frequency for the cores? I have disabled Hyper-Threading. Is it a good idea to disable some of the cores in order to achieve a higher frequency on the remaining ones? Again, this PC is basically for FS2020, so the intention is to optimise things for this simulator. Thanks in advance!

I use P3D and stopped using the weather part of OpusFSI in lieu of another product, so I disabled it in the config screen. Nevertheless I contiue having menu itens inside P3D (Add-ons main menu) related to the weather of OpusFSI, and I would like to know if that can be removed somehow, in order to make it cleaner (since I don't use it).
