January 6, 200620 yr Can one find a listing of winds aloft for a given area from the default FS9 weather ? David Hinson
January 6, 200620 yr Author Commercial Member Hi,It's tricky, and very cumbersome to use, but try the internal FS9 advanced weather dialog (World, Weather, Custom, Wind, etc..) to lookup wind layers and speed/direction one at a time. You can also use WeatherSet2 (included with FSUIPC release) to lookup data in an easier format with more info available. If you're interested in winds aloft data in a clear, concise and realistic format, might I point you to http://sales.hifisim.com/ASv6.Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
January 6, 200620 yr As Winds Aloft forcasts come out every 8 hours and I don't think MSFS does any interpolation or randomization to it to make it seem more concise with the current conditions, you should be able to look at winds aloft at www.aviationweather.gov for the US, or for Canada, there's a site for NavCanada, but I can't remember the address.----------------------------------------------------------------John MorganReal World: KGEG, UND Aerospace Spokane Satillite, Private ASEL 141.2 hrs, 314 landings, 46 inst. apprs.Virtual: MSFS 2004"There is a feeling about an airport that no other piece of ground can have.
