What type of waitress?... a petite one will suit me fine ;) - AH wait i've already got one of those! :D

I wasn't aiming at anyone in particular but if you feel it applies to you go ahead ;)I plan on getting it yes. Even if it is no better than FS9 apart from the visuals it will be a nice upgrade. But that's not the only reason. I'm involved with more than one addon group, and that means testing and support of products on the new platform as rapidly as possible after it's available.I WILL keep FS9 installed for a good while after getting FS10 though. Not only will there be addons I like which take time to get made ready for FS10 (if at all), but there will still be people requiring help using their addons with FS9 and at least initially new addons will likely be made compatible with both. That may require a new PC or a new harddisk in my current PC, but those were planned for some point this year anyway (the new PC now may just be a somewhat higher spec machine than originally intended, budget allowing).

Shouldn't this thread be moved? Then we'd have an FSX-free zone!

I don't think the thread needs to be moved--I think I can lock it at this point since I believe the author's concern was fixed when the new forum was opened. I think if I move the thread to the FS-X forum simmers there may take it out of context and make the wrong remarks. So that said, I will retire the thread now.-John
