Pleeeease, stop these FS-X threads!

Featured Replies

The forum gets filled with these more speculative threads which are very appealing to people though as it seems by the number of replies.Fact are:FS-X will be there when it's released.Whatever MS does with FS-X - we have to love it or leave it.Only MS and some closely related people know the detailed facts about FS-X before it's released.Any more words about FS-X in my opinion not worth the time invested in writing them. We have the announcement, so let's wait and see. If nobody dies prematurely or the world comes to an end or some similar catastrophic event takes place, we all will enjoy the birth of the new generation!Let's be happy that the FS sequel is continued, I assume everyone on these boards will get FS-X as soon as it's available - fresh off the press ;-).FS-X will be great (what else can we say when there's no real competitor), BUT: FS9 is the actual sim which we all (or almost all) use now, let's concentrate on this and not on speculate about some prototype/beta/whatever!Hardware will probable become cheaper until FS-X arrives, maybe some new not available currently will come out so no need to think about "what do I need to run FS-X" by now!So, please stop the FS-X threads, I think we got enough of them so far, and post more important things (I start to get lost in all these FS-X threads...)!Andreas

Microsoft uses the commentary of these forums to input into their picture of the marketplace. It is the only pipeline that offers input for future development. I do not believe that it is too late for this small community to have some influence on the content of the next release. There may well be some function a team member has developed that did not make the final cut. However, AVSIM community opinion may be enough to bring it to the surface.Dick Boley @KLBE

Who are you to tell me what I should be interested in or not? I don't get it.

THis is one of the great things about flight sim forums. Everyone is very excited about the prospect of a new simulator which leads to some really enthusiastic and interesting discussions. I for one really enjoy reading them. As long as everyone is obiding by the rules..then I don't see the prob. CheersTristan

You also need to realise that MS read these forums and use this inital feedback as a form of changing the product before it's released. They released these shots as a form of helping themselves, it's what developers do. The community itself is it's prime source of feedback.I wish I had this much attention when I was doing my products :D

"Who are you to tell me what I should be interested in or not? I don't get it."Lighten up a bit there. There is no need for this thread to "head south" as it were.

He says, starting another one himself.

Andreas,You do realize of course that you are trying to stuff your finger in the hole of a dike that has rapidly grown to the size of a small city bus, right? :) Relax and enjoy the entertainment that always comes about leading up to an MSFS release. People do pay for this kind of entertainment, but here it is good fun and free. What more could you ask for? :-lol

"What more could you ask for?"Some booze and food, Tom ;) hehe!

We now have an FSX sub forum so FSX discussion can continue there.

Didn't want to bother someone, sorry if anyone had the impression I tried to offend him/her or teach them how to behave!!!!It's just getting more difficult to read through the forum, one FS-X thread after another gets started and the real infos are buried between them.Anyway, I AM relaxed (always was) and keep on watching the show (at some point people will start loosing interest) - I'm probably too old already for such heavy stuff...Andreas

And if they do that and read the constant whining and complaining that "FSX is just FS2004 with some more eyecandy, I'm not going to upgrade" (which seems what the most proliferate whiners are saying as usual) and make their decisions based on that they had better just give up and go home.

>>"What more could you ask for?">>>>Some booze and food, Tom ;) hehe!>>you buying???!! "oh waitress!!" LOL>>>Regards, Michael>KDFW>Thats right...he forgot the waitress. Some booze, food and waitress...to go with the FSX.:(

Its an observation, I'm allowed to express that, and my final decision isn't based upon what's around now, but the final product itself (if you had read those comments of mine). It will basically require lots of both eye candy and features for me to ever upgrade, we all have our personal preference. Do you plan to upgrade to FSX based on what you've seen, as your requirements might not be as high as mine?
