April 24, 20179 yr Author Here's something to put on your desktop in the meanwhile Manfred... enroute PAFA this morning... grab it full size @ (4k) Take a look at this next photo and you will see that PMDG has done a great job of mimicking the flat flare of the -6; there is no need for high Alpha here. The descent and flare are grossly different from swept wing jet aircraft and this photo shows the flatness. The left main is down, whilst the right and nose hover inches off the tarmac. With the relatively slower speed, and the flatter approach you will find it necessary to dig out your old Kershner volumes and remember the art of cross-controls. Her oleos are spindly enough that she flies even after the Goodyears spin up, so holding input into the reverse and taking it out slowly is important. She’s the best way to haul 20,000lbs of kit to an unimproved strip- both IRL and in Flight Simulation! She gets better and better... Best- Carl Avari-Cooper
