March 25, 20179 yr When I finish a flight I save it and make it the default flight. How does the sim know that this is the default flight? Is there a variable set in a file somewhere to denote this or is the flight also saved in another location which the sim recognises as a default? Thanks for any info. Dijvid
March 26, 20179 yr When you save any flight as the default flight, it is saved in your FS9.cfg file, while overwriting the previous one in the same file. Hope this helps. Hans
March 28, 20179 yr Author Thanks for your reply, Hans. Why didn't I think of this myself???? The answer to my question is so obvious - now Dijvid
March 29, 20179 yr The default flight is loaded in the background when you start FS to initialize parts of FS9 when you start it. I use a default medium complex aircraft like the King Air. Often for some aircraft you get the instruction to first load this aircraft at you selected airport and then change it via the FS menu to the aircraft you want. This avoids this extra step. Since I use a weather application my default and saved parked flights all have the clear weather theme.
