Installing updates

Hello All,

When The operations centre tells you to download the complete installer from your account for a B777 update, can you simply run the installer over the top of the previous installation or do you need to uninstall the B777 first. (FSX version).

yep no issue  just run  th update  from the  oc

I don't think the 777 has OC updates yet. I believe you do need to uninstall the old version through the Windows add/remove programs feature, then install the new one (as an administrator).

Walter is correct.  Only the QOTSII is updating via the OC.  In this case the OC is only advising you that an update is available.  Download it from your account at PMDG, uninstall previous version, install new version, run OC to repair liveries.  Same as we've been doing for years.
