nailed the xml to do what I want it to do,ย and now I want the gauge to look pretty ๐Ÿ˜

I have the basic layout and made it look ok-ish useing paint, but it's really not ideal.

my system is sim only so I haven't got much in the sense of editing software

ย

can anyone suggest the best freeware for this purpose?ย

I have paint, Gimp and I think it's called DTXBMP

are there better ones out there?ย

Thanks

Not without paying money for a licence e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud Photographer's Package at ยฃ7.95 a month. Honestly though, learn how to use GIMP. It's as good as Photoshop for making gauge bitmaps, if a bit idiosyncratic at times. I use both but have a preference for Photoshop simply because I'm more familiar with it.
