January 8, 200620 yr My fellows "simaholics".I'm thinking on buying UK2000 airports packages. However I have some doubts:1. I already have "London Airports". Is Heathrow Pro V2 so much better in fps and visual quality?2. I'm searching for specially airliner flights, so small airfields doesn't interests me. But I know that each package has a mixture of both as usual. Do you recommend some apart from others?3. What's your opinion on the packages overhall? Thanks a bunch guys in advance.Regards,Miguel
January 8, 200620 yr I have a number of UK2000 packages/airports and rate them highly, especially as I mainly fly out of the UK.I think Heathrow ProV2 is available for download as a demo so you can see what FPS you get Miguel.I know Gary has spent a lot of time optimising V2 for betetr FPS and most of the tools he uses for scenery creation he has developed himself.
January 8, 200620 yr Gary's UK airport packages are both accurate as well as frame-rate friendly, especially if you have a 'reasonably high-end' computer and/or graphics card. The latest Heathrow version performs much better than it's earlier version and has also been updated to reflect the new control tower etc.I don't think you can go far wrong with this scenery.Toni.
January 8, 200620 yr Ok guys. You convinced me. But I need to go step by step, or my wife will "fire" me!!!! :DCheersMiguel
January 8, 200620 yr I have a high end system, and UK 2000 airports are anything BUT frame rate friendly. If you don't have Gatwick, buy the other version, from a company whose name now escapes me. ricardo
January 8, 200620 yr Ricardo,Perhaps you're referring to O.S.S.? (www.onlinesimulationsolutions.com)They also have an excellent rendition of Gatwick as well as London City, although on my system they're no more framerate-friendly than Gary's scenery. For Heathrow, I'd still highly recommend UK 2000.Toni.
