April 4, 20179 yr There was a mention earlier in the beta series about getting upgraded water colors in XP11, especially in shallow/tropical and subtropical areas like the Florida Keys and similar places, where the default X-Plane water just doesn't look right. Either it didn't make it into the final 1.0 release, or I'm doing something wrong with the Installer. I didn't have any default terrain for the Eastern USA until a few days ago post-1.0 release. I just downloaded that default scenery and the water in the lower Florida Keys looks the same as always. Here's the post where Andras mentions it: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/507227-new-installer-to-update-global-scenery/?do=findComment&comment=3597982 So is it still in the works? Any idea when we'll see it? X-Plane and Microsoft Flight Simulator on Windows 10 i7 6700 4.0 GHz, 32 GB RAM, GTX 1660 ti, 1920x1200 monitor
April 4, 20179 yr I'm guessing that it might be on the back burner, performance and VR seem to be where they are focusing their efforts at the moment.
April 4, 20179 yr VR - MEH. Computers aren't powerful enough yet - I was annoyed when I tried it - the low resolution and stuttering presentation. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
