Remote CDU when uninstall PMDG aircraft

Featured Replies

Hello,
I have purchased Remote CDU for PMDG 737, 747 and 777 for FSX. Now I have moved to P3D, I uninstalled everything in FSX and only use PMDG 777 in P3D.

I can still use Remote CDU with it but whenever start the program it shows errors of the other aircrafts(PMDG 737 and 747) which I have already uninstalled from FSX.
How can I remove those error?
Thank you,
Hoang Le

Hello Hoang Le,

it seems the registry keys still exist which point to the FSX installation directories.

These are the registry keys that are checked:

FSX installation itself: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10.0

If you delete this key (but make sure you know what you are doing) - then Remote CDU will not find it and won't complain.

Best Regards

Hello,
So the only way to make it stop produce the error is to delete the registry?

Hello,
Here they are. So to make it clearer, I still keep my FSX but have uninstalled all PMDG aircraft from it. I use P3D now and only use PMDG 777.

Ok, no need to delete any registry keys. Just go ahead and delete these two difrectories:

D:\Game\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\PMDG\PMDG 747 QOTS II and

D:\Game\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\PMDG\PMDG 777X and

D:\Game\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX

Once those 3 directories are gone, you should no longer see those warning messages.

You might want to make a backup just in case before deleting.
