How to update navdata?

Featured Replies

As i understand, add-ons like X-Life are needing navdata and i would also like to update the navdata of the XP default gps.

Do i need to buy navdata or is there free - of course not the most current - navdata for X-Plane/X-life?

Regards

Nils

I'm not sure what the current AIRAC cycle is that's included with XP11, but to keep it current, you will need to pay for it. I believe both Navigraph and Aerosoft have subscriptions. I'm hoping that every now and then the cycle will be updated when they update X-Plane.

But if i open the defult GPS, it says that the navdata would be out of date:

How can i test if the navdata has been installed correctly?

EDIT:

OK i think i have found a solution in this thread: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/110162-updating-new-nav-data-navigraph-for-x-plane-11/

It seems to work, if the navdata is installed to the "custom data" folder.
