May 15, 20179 yr Hi all, I have an issue regarding the vc shadows. When I have the sun behind the aircraft, the cockpit screens get a huge brightness decrease and the lisibility is reduced a lot. Maybe I forgot to do something.. Thank you very much !

May 15, 20179 yr Commercial Member Firstly, thanks for supplying your order id. As you said in your email the solution is to tick the don't shade MFDs option. However I slightly disagree with your comment that as a negative you lose the shadowing on the MFD. If you test with a desk light and a monitor you will see that you don't really see shadows on a display. In real life is that the display is effectively a CFL light . Now what does happen is that direct sunlight illuminates the surface layer and thus makes the display harder to read. That could be reproduced but it would require a change to the textures used in the model. My FSX Analysis Blog
