Strange issue with FSX:SE

Featured Replies

Hi all,

After making the switch to the steam edition i thought everything was fine, Until i did a flight. It seems i'm having an issue with VNAV and the speed, When i enable VNAV after following a correct departure the speed suddenly goes crazy, It said that i'm overspeed at mach .50 and VNAV  tries to reduce the speed to 126 KTS? I have no idea what's going on, I never had this issue with the boxed version.

Its impossible to recover the aircraft after this, if i disable VNAV and just try to set the autopilot myself it still shows i'm overspeed at FL340 and MACH .50, Surely something is wrong? I've tried a reinstall but can't seem to fix it.

HI all,

Ok i have done some testing, It seems its being caused by REX. I just did a flight using VNAV without any REX weather. When i started REX and it injected real world weather suddenly the aircraft went crazy. Very strange issue, Did not have this with boxed.. Hmmm

You might want it to consider moving to AS16 for your weather program and it overcomes a lot of those wind shift issues and other weather anomalies that cause weird aircraft performance. Plus its needed if you want to use   the WX Radar.
