With every new update, all my edits in taxi manager disappears. I have to redo all edits from scratch. This is really getting tiresome. Can I save the database before updates and restore it afterwards?

The database will be replaced only if you install the full version of the software.  If you are updating, then be sure not to use the full version and you will not affect your changes.

Of course, as stated in the User's Guide, you should back up the P2ABaseData.mdf file before making the changes.  You can also make this backup copy before updating to a new version. 

To restore the backed up version, you would need to copy the backup P2ABaseData.mdf file to the Data folder.  You will also need to delete the P2ABaseData_log.ldf file so it can be created with the newly copied file when P2A starts up.
