June 14, 20178 yr Commercial Member It is not. Shared cockpit/Multiplayer is tied to versions across the Prepar3D family of releases. Ed Wilson Mindstar AviationMy Playland - I69
June 14, 20178 yr Author Hello, Thank you for your reply. By family of releases, do you mean each version or all the versions within P3D V2 or V3 or V4? My gallery: http://s1075.photobucket.com/albums/w430/yankeegolf/
June 15, 20178 yr Commercial Member I mean that you can't even do mulitplayer between 3.0 and 3.4, as example. It is tied to the version number. v3.4 can only connect to v3.4 and v4.0 can only connect to v4.0 and v2.x can only connect to v2.x. Ed Wilson Mindstar AviationMy Playland - I69
June 15, 20178 yr Commercial Member There are external solutions for shared cockpit that don't care about simulator make or model on either side. Check out for example the freeware(?) JoinFS. Our own SharedCockpit app has been delayed by the Prepar3D V4 release and subsequent conversion, but it will be released in a week or two (but that one will be payware). There is a forum dedicated to shared cockpit flying here on AVSIM: https://www.avsim.com/forums/forum/195-shared-cockpits-multi-player-forum-for-fsx-fsx-se-p3d/ Best regards LORBY-SI
