June 29, 20178 yr I am having issues with the new Fs2Crew 777 for Prepar3d v4. It installed fine, it loads fine in the simulator, but the voice recognition doesn't work. I enabled it with the button, and the green text at the top of the screen informed me that voice recognition has started. I also completed the voice training in Windows 10, so I know that is working as well. On an interesting note, if I click the voice button to turn it off, Prepar3d crashes. Any insights would be appreciated.
June 30, 20178 yr Commercial Member Hi, Did you check the manual? http://www.support.fs2crew.com/help/manuals/#pageid=speech_recognition_setup3 Is your speech recognizer set to English US as per the manual. If the Voice button does not stay on, it's because: 1. Speech Recognizer not set to English US. 99 percent of the time it's this. 2. You may have a run a program called System Mechanic, but I haven't heard of any issues from them in a long time so I guess they resolved their issue. 3. Something on your computer is messed up, and that's a needle in a haystack. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
June 30, 20178 yr Author Solved: Inside of Prepar3D's audio options, there is a section for voice capture device. It was set to something weird. So weird, in fact, that it crashed the sim every time. After switching to my mic input, all is well.

October 6, 20178 yr Hey Guys, can i catch this one up? I using P3dv4 as well on Windows 10. Did install everything needed..US English and trained cortana a little bit on my voice. Didnt find any other way to train the speech recognition. Everything is working fine with Fs2crew but when i activate voice i get the message: error, voice not working, maybe install english language bla bla... The right Mic is activated, i got input on my windows recording level and have no probs with teamspeak. What could be the deal? Regarding the P3d inner settings do i have to "use" or "avoid" taking the same input source? According to the manual i understood it like not to choose the same input due to possible interference...?! Would be glad about help... Cheers, Tom
October 7, 20178 yr Commercial Member Tom, Are you positive your speech is set to English US... it needs to look like this... look in the top section where it says "English - US). B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
October 7, 20178 yr Yes i did..the window differs a little on windows 10 but practically it says the same. https://www.google.de/search?q=windows+10+speech+window&client=firefox-b-ab&dcr=0&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjKnfWmxd7WAhVF2hoKHfnjCEYQ_AUICigB&biw=1597&bih=965#imgrc=hvH2h3sf6vDgmM: and it says English (United States) on mine...
October 7, 20178 yr Commercial Member I don't think that's sufficient. You need to go to the Speech Recognition Properties panel and set English US there. It needs to look just like the screen shot above. Please locate that panel. Control Panel\Ease of Access\Speech Recognition - > Advanced Speech Properties. B.
