Looking for recommendations for a 4k monitor

Recommended Posts

Looking for recommendations for a 4k monitor.

I have limited space so either 28" or 32".

Is it worth paying the difference for an IPS monitor over a TN one?

Is anyone using an Asus PB287Q  or Asus MG28UQ ?

Great topic, I am in search too.

I would add the following questions (if you allow):

For the ones who purchased curved displays: do you feel / see the difference?

Are you using Freesync / G-Sync screens and again do you see a difference?

Cheers

Frank

HI both,

Thanks for this thread as i have the same question. And like mdata, also have a few extra questions if that's ok?
1) Given the sheer amount of 4K tech out there now, is it really work getting a more expensive monitor over a 4K TV? If so what are the advantages/drawbacks?
2) What is the minimum GPU that would be advised for excellent 4K resolution with FSX-SE that would also be goo for P3D

3) About the curve - is this different between monitor/UHDTV and how might this affect the gaming experience? Essentially, we would all love a wrap around display like a professional training SIM so are there any factors to take into account with the curvature/size of monitors vs LCD TV'

THanks so much for your help and I hope you don't mind the extra questions on your thread TonyD.

Cheers

Dave
