iconic Warbirds

Featured Replies

Many sims have a warbird or two in their hangars. For example FUIII and MSFS both have the P51D, AF2 has the Corsair, the P38 Lightning.and a Sopwith Camel.  What warbirds would you like to see in this one?

I reckon the P40 and maybe also a nice Albatros D.III for a WWI flavour.

Anything different for a refreshing change: Phantom, Mirage, Harrier, MIG21 - or any other type which has been used by Air Forces around the world.

Be nice to see one of the 'sportier' classic WW1 biplanes in there, something you can throw about a bit, maybe the SE5a, Fokker DVII or the SPAD XII.

As far WW2 goes, it'd be nice to see something we haven't seen before, maybe a Dewoitine D.520, which was an excellent aeroplane and pretty too. It was a match for contemporary opposition such as the bf109, slower but more manueverable, but sadly not produced in large enough numbers to make a difference in WW2.

Then you've got Korea and Vietnam, lots of classics there to provide inspiration, although again it might be nice to see something different from the usual MiG-15 and F-86, maybe a Twin Mustang or a MiG-19 could be fun, or some of the other unsung heroes such as the F2H Banshee or B-26 Invader.

For more modern times, an F-117 or a MiG-29 could be kind of fun to see in there.

And it would be great to have Missions for them all, too! Maybe a few military trainers would be suitable for FSW's Lessons feature? Remember that brilliant 'Tweety-Bird' from FS2004 which only worked in XP and Vista?

If the market for it exists, than a 3rd party dev will fill the gaps im sure.
