I'm very tempted to get this monitor but at 32" ... but kinda small, however it will ensure I wouldn't need to use any AA.

Looks like it operates with two DisplayPort connections for 60Hz operation.

Anyone tried the 8K monitor front yet?  I was going to wait until 2018 to jump on the 8K wagon (with expectation of lower prices and more brand options and new GPU's from nVidia), but this is very tempting.

Cheers, Rob.

What's Dell's return policy on this item?  That's the first thing I recommend you clarify before going further.

Haha, yeah good idea Jay.

Just curious if any "lurkers" might have had the opportunity to try an 8K monitor ... I know there are many flight simmers that have bigger budgets for these types of things. :)

Cheers, Rob.

Rob,

Please pardon my ignorance but .. what exactly are the drawbacks of AA and is it really worth USD5000.00 to bypass it.

Another suggestion and probably cheaper is, to wait for 4K VR to become available.  For me and for me personally, it just seems to be an incredible amount of money for an obviously great monitor.

Let us know what you eventually decide.

By the way, and off topic (of course) a BIG thank you for your comment on "I am through here"

Regards

AA is a type of blur filter ... if you have enough resolution, correct view distances, and small enough dot pitch one should NOT need AA.  Without the need to use AA you also benefit from better visuals and better performance.

I like VR, but I can't seem to do more than about 30-60 minutes of it before I get headaches or just too hot on my head ... I have a hot head I guess ... hehe.  But I will probably try out 4K VR in the future just to see.

Cheers, Rob.
